Karoline Barwinski is a Program Coordinator for the Sustainability and Health Initiative for NetPositive Enterprise (SHINE) at the Center for Health and the Global Environment. In her role she leads SHINE’s communications efforts, assists with business development and member recruitment, and contributes to research and project analysis with member companies.
Karoline brings with her a strong foundation in corporate sustainability and responsible investing. Prior to working with SHINE, as a sustainability analyst at ClearBridge Investments, an asset management firm with a leading environment, social, and governance (ESG) investment program, Karoline helped lead ESG research across all sectors and engaged companies on sustainability practices. Her experience as an analyst led her to embrace the importance of worker health in company analysis and investment valuation. Her passion is exploring workplace health and employee well-being in the context of corporate sustainability, believing that a healthy, engaged, productive, and supported employee base is vital to a successful enterprise. Her experience as an analyst informs her current work as part of SHINE.
Karoline received a Master of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University where she concentrated in global business and finance and specialized in sustainability, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Emory University. Karoline is completing graduate course work in biostatistics and epidemiology, as well as workplace health and sustainability at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
